My thoughts on Cat's Cradle

Dear Daronté Antez,

It has come to my attention that you have been bored for several weeks. If there is something wrong please tell me. I am concerned for your well-being, and I believe that I can advise you in some way or another. I hope to receive an honest response to why you have been acting so depressed.

Yours sincerely,

Shaniqua De Anté

Dear Shaniqua De Anté,

I am very happy to know that somebody cares about me. I was distressed for the past couple of weeks because I had nothing to do. I completed all my video games, basketball season is over, and I received the highest score on pinball. How am I supposed to enjoy myself now? I have nothing to do, and you know already that there is no chance of me doing homework. Do you have any suggestions?

Yours sincerely,

Daronté Antez.

To Daronté Antez,

Why not read a book, I have a perfect book for you. It is known as Cat's Cradle.

Dear Shaniqua De Anté,

So I read what the plot of Cat's Cradle is all about, but can you evaluate the text for me?

Dear Daronté Antez,

It would be my pleasure:)

Cat's Cradle consists of 127 chapters (Crazy right!!!). Don't worry, though, since these chapters are extremely short. I mean it, the average chapter is a page in a half. As for me, I enjoy reading novels with short chapters, and I am sure that you would want the same. By having these short chapters, I feel like I am reading a good amount. Additionally, I always say to myself, "one last chapter", but in reality I end up reading ten more. In my opinion that is a great way to read a book, and it makes the reader feel like he accomplished something. Other than the length, the content is interesting. The book goes through the story quickly without any cliché storylines. Furthermore, Cat's Cradle has many things going on in the plot, which will surely keep you immersed in reading the book. By reading this novel, you will see that science and religion are being mocked. (Which is great since you practically failed science, and barely passed Gemara!!!). In addition, the mockery Vonnegut uses in the book is filled with dark humour. In other words this novel contains scientific and religious mockery, which you would be very fond of.  This novel will also make you compare our society to the one described in the book. The plot and theme of the novel will get you thinking about the evolution of science, and whether religion is a lie. If religion is not a lie, do science and religion have to conflict each other? I will stop babbling on and on, since you know now what to expect from the book. But one last thing...

(Spoiler Alert!!!)

The ending of Cat's Cradle is also surprising; the entire world is obliterated!!! How cool is that?!?! If I were you, I would go online and order the book right away. Glad I could help you overcome your depression :)
